Description

An anti-parasitic medicine primarily used against parasites known as Cestodes (tapeworms).  It works by causing severe spasms and paralysis of the worms' muscles.  The body's immune system is then better able to attack and expel the worm(s).

 

Uses

• Tapeworms
• Flukes

 

Dosage

• 5mg/lb by injection once then again 10 days (20)
• 25 mg/kg orally or by injection once then again 10 days (27)

 

Side Effects

• Lethargy
• Itching around injection site
• Diarrhoea
• Loss of appetite
