Member Groups

We often get asked what the stars under names in posts stand for. Well, here's a small explanation.

There are two types of groups - post based and assigned. The first set, post based, means that the more you post, the better the title (Ratz Newbie to Ratz God) that you get in your profile. It also means that you get more stars (or different coloured ones!). This occurs automatically the more you post (but if we catch anyone posting nonsense just to increase post count, there will be trouble!). The assigned member groups are different. You can only be a part of them if an admin gives you the permission. There are different types of assigned groups. Team Members mean the advice you give is very reliable and we know that you can count on the advice given by one of these members. Moderators are those that moderate the boards and this title is ONLY given out once we are satisfied someone is trustworthy, honest and a frequent visitor. Admin Aides and Admins are the ones that run the boards. You cannot ask to join an assigned membergroup, but if we believe you have earned the right, we may ask you if you would like the position.

As for the stars, this is how they are worked out:

Normal groups (you go up the more you post):
Ratz Newbie - 0 to 49 posts - one normal star
Ratz Jr Member - 50 to 99 posts - two normal stars
Ratz Full Member - 100 to 199 posts - three normal stars
Ratz Sr Member - 200 to 299 posts - four normal stars
Ratz Hero Member - 300 - 499 posts - five normal stars
Ratz Legend Trainee - 500 to 749 posts - 1 green star
Ratz Legend Junior - 750 to 999 posts - 2 green stars
Ratz Legend Senior - 1000 to 1499 posts - 3 green stars
Ratz Trainee God - 1500 to 1999 posts - 4 green stars
Ratz God - 2000+ posts - 5 green stars

Assigned groups (can only be in these if you are given the position by an admin):
Advice Team Member - 4 yellow stars
Advice Team Leader - 5 yellow stars
Moderator - 5 blue stars
Admin Aid - 4 red stars and 1 blue
Admin - 5 red stars
